Song For Shabbat (June 15, 2007)

Categories: Faith, Messiah, Music, Shabbat, Shabbat Song

Sorry for the limited posts lately, but starting a new job and the kids out for the summer and staying up later has limited my time to post. Hopefully I will be able to free up some more time soon.

For this Shabbat, I heard a message the other day from the Rabbi of Kol Mashiach Messianic Synagogue in Melbourne, Florida. The message was from Isaiah 40:1-11Open Link in New Window, and it put this song by Lamb in my mind, so I thought I would share it with you for this Shabbat.

Lyrics:

Chorus:

O Zion, who brings good news
Get up into the high mountain(s)
O Jerusalem, who brings good news
Lift up your voice in strength.

Verse:

Lift up your voice, be not afraid
Say to the cities of Judah
Lift up your voice, be not ashamed
Behold your God!

Bridge:

The grass withers, and the flowers fade
But the word of our God will stand forever
The grass withers, and the flowers fade
But the word of our God will stand, O Zion.

Outro:

O Yisrael, we’ve got good news
Hey Haifa, hallelujah
O Tel Aviv, we’ve got good news, yea!
Tiberius, hallelujah!
Jerusalem, we’ve got good news
All nations, we’ve got good news, hallelujah.
