Hermeneutics of a Stop Sign

Found this wonderful and humorous post over at the First Fruits of Zion (FFOZ) blog. I like some of what they stand for, but not all. However, although I think I have seen at least some of this before, it is still wonderful and the additional Jewish and Messianic viewpoints are a welcome and funny addition.

My favorite has to be  “Some wonder why we are stopping at all, since Yeshua stopped once for all.” Thant is so classic.

It does, in a humorous way point out what I am saying previously in how we look so hard at Scripture trying to find some meaning, or divide the Law up so that we do not need to follow parts that we are uncomfortable with following, that we miss the simple words and the simple intend, to walk humbly before our G-d.

I usually don’t post this much on a Friday, and the Song for Shabbat is the finale to the week, but with the holiday this week, it has made it a slow week. So, for the third time Shabbat Shalom.
